Flash NOR with JTAG Problem

Post by Coolkeum » Wed Jan 27, 2010 10:42 am

Hi all,

I have tried to flash NOR with supervivi128M (for Samsung K9F1G08) in order to use Windows CE 6.0.

However, after a complete download successfull, my mini2440 doesn't want to boot : in S2 mode, DNW shows a random letter followed by "load Image of Windows CE..." but nothing happens and in NOR mode, DNW only shows an "i"...

In NOR mode also, with H-JTAG, the "detect target" works well but on "Check" or "Program" button, H-Flasher says "Error : can't load to the specify address" or after a programming try "Error : time out. This mean something goes wrong." !

For information, I have used the H-JTAG distributed on the CD and FriendlyARM2440.his / H-Flasher_mini2440.hfc files...

Anybody has an idea to help me in this critical situation?

:(

Yes, I have followed all this tutorial : viewtopic.php?f=6&t=45 and load supervivi-128M into NOR memory with successfull state at the end...

However, my board doesn't want to boot yet!

After this, I have tried with sjf2440 utility which says "ID Check Error" and shows me Manufacture ID equal to "7e" and Device ID equal to "ea00" where as Friendly ARM user manual has a printscreen with "1" for Manufacture ID and "2249" for Device ID in its user manual...

My board seems to be in a bad state :/

Hi all,

I have tray again with my board today and I have another error now "Error : can't halt target and make it enter DEBUG state".

On this error, my mini2440 board seems to "buzz" as a Windows click, you know?

Anybody has an idea for me please?

For information, I have also try to rewrite the manufacture / device ID, with sjf2440 utility, in order to correspond to Friendly ARM documentation printscreen. However, sjf2440 seems to write well but when I read the word at address 0, nothing has changed...

If this can help you to help me also!

Hi all,
I have a problem, because when I want re-load supervivi I got
Error: Flash id does not match. Please make sure that the right flash device is selected.
I selected SST39VF1601 like in this tutorial: http://www.friendlyarm.net/dl.php?file=download.pdf
and also i tried selected AM29LV160DB like here: http://www.thaieasyelec.net/archives/Ma ... 20BIOS.pdf

Always the same problem.
Do you have any idea to help me?
regards
michael

Well the real question to yourself is, what flash do you have ?
Then select the flash accordingly. Guessing is not going to solve it.

How can I check it? Just "check" option in H-Flasher ?

EDIT:
Ok I see on the board. It is SST39VF1601, but I selected this flash and it didn't works.

EDIT:
Now I have error:
Error: Can't download driver to speciefied address
I set:
16-Bit x 1-Chip
Flash start address: 0
RAM start address: 3 000 000 000
