Using the VIA usb wifi card. When WINCE boots with the card connected it does not detect it. It must be disconnected and connected for it to be detected and the control app launch.

Any ideas ?

Don't know if it will help, but in some of the Linux code, the WN321 wifi has to be taken down then back up during startup before it will repsond. Maybe you could disable then re-enable after startup and see what happens.

thanks for the info on how the linux side does it.

sadly, after putting it away for some time, it seems to be broken.

on the topic, I was designing a control mechanism using one of the IO pins to control a transistor to control power to the dongle,so that my custom software could reset the card at will (instead of having to figure out how to truly take down and bring back up the card under CE in my own software)
