USB Driver Not Working for MINI2440

Hello,

I recently purchased my 2440 and I am having troubles getting the PC to recognize the MINI2440. It seems the USB driver is unstable. The first time I installed the driver, the MINI2440 was recognized and could be accessed via DNW. After restarting my PC the MINI2440 is not recognized as "FriendlyArm" but is now "Unrecognized Device" and now DNW cannot connect. Reinstalling the driver does not help.

I completed a "system restore" of my PC to the date BEFORE I installed the MINI2440 drivers, and it worked! But the same thing happened. I turn off my PC, restart, then try to connect MINI2440 and now the device is "Unrecognized" again! I need help! I even tried installing the drivers manually (Add Hardware, etc) but no help.

Am I doing something wrong?? I have Windows XP-Pro SP3 USA version.

Have you tryed to connect using serial interface?
If I am not mistaken you don't need the driver for this purpose

to fully use DNW you must use USB+Serial.
Serial is used for commands, USB is used for the data transfer.

I have been able to get the USB working on my laptop but my desktop will just not cooperate. At least I know my mini2440 hardware is OK. I am running CE now and setting up platform builder. It is just a pain because my desktop is my dev machine and I have to use the laptop download images.

At one point I manually deleted the driver files from the windows folders. After I did this, I reconnected the 2440 to the PC. The PC recognized the board (FriendlyArm) and attempted to search for drivers. I pointed windows to the driver files but the driver install failed - it said the drivers were not for my hardware(?!).

Seems like my USB hub was causing the problems. I plugged the board directly into the PC and now it works on my desktop. Now I do not need to use my laptop to download! LOL..
