Windows CE 6 BSP

Post by lkernan » Wed Apr 15, 2009 9:22 pm

I've got the CE6.0 development tools but the BSP supplied with the mini2440 is for CE5.
Is there a BSP available for CE6.0?

I saw that there is some BSP for S3C2440 and WIN CE 6.0 at en.pudn.com:

http://en.pudn.com/downloads147/sourcec ... 67_en.html

http://en.pudn.com/detail.asp?id=637667

but I don't have registration to check the content.

Probably the admins could "find" these files?

Hi,
There is a post on the www.friendlyarm.org forums saying their CE 6.0 BSP for the mini2440 will be available in the next week or two on www.andahammer.com.

I believe these guys sponsored the work on getting linux up to date on the mini2440, so i am really looking forward to seeing what they do with CE 6.0!
They say it is being developed by a company that does professional CE work!

I hope this is true. Development with wince 5.0 is problematic (at least I can't find "full" verison of the wince 5.0 but for 6.0 it is widely spread on torrents).
A small tutorial or how-to about compliling PB images will be helpful - now I can build an image, but I think that the NBOOT code is not part of the project and it is not compiled when the build and sysgen is done.

The CE 6.0 at andahammer has been delayed till some time in August. FriendlyARM says the new 5.0 BSP in the late July software release has been rebuilt for easier conversion to 6.0. Something about OAL being split off conveniently. If you look at the WinCE videos on the MS web site you can see what they mean by the new organization of 6.0.

I've already tried the new bsp in ce 6.0.
It is now possible to get it to load into a catalog in platform builder with very few changes but building an image fails. There are several code issues regarding Display and USB drivers. I'm not a c coder so i left it at that.

I haven't been able to get the new bsp to work properly in ce 5 yet either though.....

Wouldn't put too much faith in what they say over at andahammer right now, they have been saying its just around the corner since april and don't seem to want to talk about it.

Where did you get the CE6?
I am a coder and I can try to fix the problems but I cannot get the BSP.

i've got the 120 day evaluation version of ce 6.0 from microsoft. Came on 2 dvds with an eval copy of visual studio 2005 pro.

I used the new ce 5 bsp from friendlyarm. It loads straight into the ce 6 environment if you create a catalog file for it.
