Flickering Screen if PWM is adjusted

Post by MrPec » Thu Feb 09, 2012 2:03 am

If we set PWM to another value than 100%, the Screen starts to flicker. It also depends if we touch the connection between the extension board and the display itself. Only settings the brightness to 100% seems to fix it - maybe because the display is always on?

Could you tell what the value setting to cause this issue? 50% , 60% or 80%?
Another clue is to re-settle the fpc cable on both end, or try another cable.

It starts to flicker more the lower the settings is - below 65 you can easily notice it. And around 50, it is unusable. We already tried different displays and cables. It seems that either the cable is too long or there is some kind of interference between the PWM and other signals.

do you have a shorter cable on hand? we may send you some but it would take too long to wait.
