From the logs and pictures, I found:
1. Sofware is running well.
2. Hardware connection is correct.
3. Touch screen works well.

So the issue was most probably caused by BL control. Could you have a multi-meter and measure BL control signal when software running?
Please find the schematics of LCD backlight board in attachment and the LCD_PWR voltage from J2 should appear on both ends of R2 and R3. Thanks

Did you measure it on both ends of R3?
BTW, LCD backlight can be observed when the control circuit open it to ON. Had you observed any light leak off when the software coming up?
