QQ2440 image problem

Post by IDrenth » Wed Nov 25, 2009 8:02 pm

There is problem with qq2440 version

The new supervivi-64M doesn't work:
-The xmodem transfer is switch off.
-The USB connection doesn't work any more.

The origenel Supervivi doesn't support the new mini2440 image .bin files.
If you use the .nbo file you get it running but afther restarting the OS is gone.

The reason the .nb0 are gone after restart is because the nb0 files are runtime ready images.
Theyr copied into ram to run.

As for the supervivi not working, im not sure about the qq2440.
It should not change much in terms of vivi, as the usb is the same and the such.
Which supervivi-64M did you try? ie the foldername it came from.

Right, because the new WinCE images are not compatible with the old Supervivi.
(Would have been more proper if you made this post in the WinCE forum or at least said it was WinCE related - i knew that, but others may not have)

Does your pc detect the USB device ?
Does DNW say USB 'ok' ?

A Hardware Workaround

Post by esky-sh » Sun Nov 29, 2009 9:51 pm

You can pullup usb enable signal to let the board recognized by DNW when it connected to PC. This will allow latest supervivi-64M work on QQ2440 board.

what do you mean with the red cross?

Disconnect and connect the 5VDC on the 4K7 or do you mean connect also the 5VDC on the front of resistor R29 ?

this is only away to offer rule the signal from the s3c2440 USB_EN.

So the supervivi doesn't give the 5V for this ??? I think its better to solve this in the software manner instead of change the hardware ?

Its little strange for me, but I will try it out.
afther I got the answer on the connect 5VDC with the USB_EN or with out the USB_EN.

The D+ pin of USB device will be pulled to high when a device connect to PC. On QQ2440 board this feature implemented by USB_EN1 signal(controled by software) but unfortunately latest supervivi-64M ignore it. So we need manually pull D+ pin to high by hardware.

I try it out and the usb DNW say connection oke.

the Nboot_a70 is no problem to send.

but I can't send any nk_a70.bin to it. The DNW freeze to send and nothing happend.
