Create linux img file

I have created a linux root filesystem that I want to download to the board. Now I need to build *.img file for DNW tool. How can I do this?

Here are steps to create QT/File system image
1. Install cross complier arm-linux-gcc-3.3.2.tgz
2. #cd /opt/FriendlyARM/QQ2440/arm-qtopia
3. #./build -all
4. #./mktarget_qtopia
5. #./mktarget_konq
6. #cd /opt/FrendlyARM/QQ2440/root_qtopia_mouse
7. #tar xvzf ../arm-qtopia/target_qtopia.tgz
8. #tar xvzf ../arm-qtopia/target_konq.tgz
9. #mkyaffsimage root_qtopia_mouse my_qtopia.img
