Got user name and pass for ftp access

hello,,

i got user name and pass from admin to access ftp ,,but it seems not working.
I am using this way
ftp://username:pass@72.167.164.146 (using ubuntu+firefox browser)

got error: 530 login incorrect

Any suggestion ???
