Angstrom drivers - update
Re: Angstrom drivers - update
that is true and my u-boot will work fine with my customized uImage with the changes mentioned but the touch screen will not work
Re: Angstrom drivers - update
So why don't you have a check with the changes you made inside u-boot source code? This would be a simple way to fix your problem instantly. I guess there is only some configurations needed for pin mux of SPI.samertfl wrote:that is true and my u-boot will work fine with my customized uImage with the changes mentioned but the touch screen will not work
Re: Angstrom drivers - update
As ive asked a number of times and will ask again have you yourself got the screen to work with Angstrom and NOT Android?
Re: Angstrom drivers - update
The touch screen is a linux driver. It should be easy to work with Angstrom if it already work on your linux/android. So I suggest you to have some check with your u-boot setting first.
Re: Angstrom drivers - update
If that is true please provide a compiled version of u-boot and angstrom to test?
Re: Angstrom drivers - update
I will check with the support of Angstrom and update you soon.
Re: Angstrom drivers - update
thank you. Ill wait
Re: Angstrom drivers - update
Hi,
I have a Beagleboard C4 with Angstrom (kernel 2.6.32). Everything works, except the tuchscreen.
I found a lot of information on the net about the touchscreen, but most of them are outdated, or describes a specific case. All the information i found is: "copy it from Android".
I see that there is a ads7846 driver in the kernel (this is necessary for touchscreen, AFAIK), but it does not work.
Is there a description which contains all information for Beagleboard to use the touchscreen (gpio settings, u-boot settings, kernel config, etc)?
Is ads7846 enough? Will the Angstrom support it in the near future?
Thanx inadvance

Re: Angstrom drivers - update
Hi,
I am stuck in the touchscreen problem yet with Angstrom and Beagleboard C4.
I tried the u-boot from ftp site but the ads7846 kernel driver does not work.
Any help would be appreciated
