BeadaPanel 5C Paritition Overflow Issue

Due to a layout bug in the TF card partition table, some 5C users will encounter black screen problem. The affected batches are from October 2023 to November 2024. To solve this issue, we provide an operation guide for manually adjusting the TF card partition table. When you meet black screen problem, you can try to fix it yourself.

Section 1, How to identify the issue
Pre-requirements
  • A BeadaPanel 5C
  • A Windows PC(with a TF card reader and DiskGenius installed)
Procedures
  1. Pull out TF card from 5C card slot and pull it in TF card reader
  2. Plug in TF card reader to your Windows PC
  3. Open DiskGenius
  4. Right click on the TF card(In this case, it is RD2:GenericMassStorageClass(29GB)
  5. DiskGenius will pop up a message box to tell if there is partition overflow error

  6. Click 'Cancel' to close message box

Section 2, How to adjust partition table
Pre-requirements
  • A BeadaPanel 5C
  • A Desktop PC(with a TF card reader and DiskGenius installed)
Procedures
  1. Pull out TF card from BeadaPanel 5C card slot and pull it in TF card reader
  2. Plug in TF card reader to your Windows PC
  3. Open DiskGenius
  4. Find the TF card(In this case, it is RD2:GenericMassStorageClass(29GB)
  5. Right click on the last partition(In this case, it is disk G)
  6. Click 'Delete Current Partition'

  7. DiskGenius will pop up a message box to let you confirm, click 'Yes'

  8. Right click on the free space of TF card and create a new partition

  9. Choose primary partition type and then click 'OK‘

  10. Right click on the TF card(In this case, it is RD2:GenericMassStorageClass(29GB) and select 'Save Partition Table'

  11. DiskGenius will pop up a message box to let you confirm, click 'Yes'

  12. DiskGenius will pop up a message box to ask if you want to format this new partition, click 'No'

  13. Click 'Reserve'

  14. Exit DiskGenius and pull out your TF card reader
