Help with BeadaPanel 6P

Post by sardonumsei » Wed Jul 24, 2024 5:21 pm

I have a BeadaPanel 6p. It has been working fine. I updated the firmware to v715. BeadaTools said it completed and that I should power cycle the device. I power cycled the display and the computer multiple times. The panel is black and does not show up in BeadaTools. It does nothing when I plug and uplug it. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Which firmware version you were upgrading from?
and when you did this upgrade?
Were you doing a remote update or update by a local image file?
Currently remote update from our server will push a latest v717 version.

I don't remember what I was on. It was older. I did a remote upgrade I thought it was v715 but it might have been v717.

You may try a manually provision again on this device.

You can follow this onedrive folder for upgrade--> https://1drv.ms/f/s!ArGfiTxjUGUlgYFd9pM ... Q?e=IWKikD

I tired this many times and it did not work. I put the panel away and now I want to get it working again. I followed the guide and in section 3, it says to replace 3 files. I cannot find one of these files on the onedrive link. That file is im6x6ull-14x14-evk.dtb. The onedrive link has several .dtb files but I do not know what one to use on my 6P panel. There are also 2 uboot files. Which one of those do I use?

There is a document so called BeadaPanel_Rev_7.10_Compatibilities_Matrix.pdf on onedrive for those firmware file picking.

I did all of that. I used

6.8 Inches Suite
6Y
beadapanel-i6-v710-202307111.pmf
u-boot.imx
zImage
imx6ull-14x14-evk.dtb
(rename from imx6ull-beadapanel-hbc0686.dtb)

as directed by the pdf. When I go to http://www.nxelec.com/service/beadatools it cannot find the panel.

I tried the entire procedure twice and both times I had the same result.

What about the LED status when you power on the board? Did it flash or not?

That means firmware running well. Did it stop flashing after the board up?
