Boot linux images from update QQ20081028

Has anyone tried the linux images in the QQ20081028 update?
I downloaded them to the board but it just hangs when booting the kernel?

Was thinking I might try LeshaK 2.6.29 image then start setup a cross build environment...

I wanted to also try LeshaK's debian install, but my current QQ2440 kernel doesn't like SD card (hence wanting to upgrade kernel)
