devfs error

When I was booting the kernel, I am getting this error and stopped:

VFS: Mounted root (yaffs filesystem).

mount_devfs_fs(): unable to mount devfs, err: -2

Freeing init memory: 148K

Warning: unable to open an initial console.

Kernel panic - not syncing: No init found. Try passing init= option to kernel.

Any idea what was the problem?
